Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Automotive Parts Driver to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles such as box trucks and vans to transport automotive parts to customers and vendors.
- Load and unload parts using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Plan and follow optimized delivery routes using mobile devices to ensure timely arrivals and efficient service.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage during transit, complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering parts professionally, answering questions, and addressing customer needs courteously.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports of all shipments in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies during all driving activities.
Skills
- Proven warehouse experience combined with commercial driving skills.
- Experience operating box trucks, manual transmissions, and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic regulations, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following manual handling protocols.
- Excellent driving record with experience in delivery driving or courier services using personal or commercial vehicles.
- Skilled in manual handling techniques for moving goods efficiently without injury.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including loading/unloading cargo and using material handling tools.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices during deliveries.
