Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform various manual tasks in plant and surrounding facility
- Clean, sweep and shovel in and around machinery
- Assist mechanic with operation and maintenance of machinery
- Inspect concrete blocks on cuber line for defects and imperfections
- Clean and descale plant concrete mixer
- Make and repair pallets
- Lift and stack concrete blocks
- Operate forklift when necessary
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Assist with training new employees
- Any other additional duties as required, but not limited to the above
Other Requirements:
- Regular workweek is Monday through Saturday
- Must be flexible to work day, night or graveyard shift
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
- Must be able stand for long periods of time
- Forklift certification preferred
- Random drug testing
- Submit to post-offer employment physical & drug testing
- Shave for respirator fit testing as required
- Must have current driver’s license
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Experience working in block manufacturing plant preferred
