American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology position requiring active RN licensure, APHON Chemotherapy certification, and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Inpatient hospital setting within a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit

Pediatric oncology patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
-
Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

13-week contract

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Required certifications (all from AHA): BLS, PALS, and ACLS
-
APHON Chemotherapy certification required

Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration (ONS) required
-
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Proficiency in organizing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer skills required

Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration

Responsibilities include administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses to interventions, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Provides patient and family education on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions

Delegates tasks to support staff and makes appropriate referrals for patient care needs

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
-
Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before becoming eligible for another contract

Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly and deadlines are strictly enforced
