Battleground Field Canvasser
Pay: $20–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, Seasonal, and Temporary Positions Available
About the Role
We are seeking motivated and energetic Battleground Field Canvassers to join our voter engagement team. This position involves direct, face-to-face outreach with community members through door-to-door canvassing and voter registration efforts. Canvassers will play a key role in helping eligible residents register to vote, update their voter registration, and increase civic participation in key communities.
This is a people-centered role for individuals who enjoy meeting new people, having meaningful conversations, and making a tangible impact in their communities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door voter engagement and community outreach.
- Register eligible voters and assist residents with updating voter registration information.
- Educate voters on registration deadlines, voting options, and election information.
- Record voter contact information and survey responses using mobile devices and data collection tools.
- Meet daily and weekly outreach goals, including doors knocked, conversations completed, and voter registrations submitted.
- Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and field briefings.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all voter registration laws and organizational policies.
- Represent the organization professionally in the community.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable initiating conversations with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to walk for extended periods and work outdoors.
- Reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous canvassing, customer service, sales, community outreach, or voter registration experience is a plus but not required.
