Brandon's Landscapes, Inc. is hiring Laborers for Landscape Maintenance for our commercial and residential divisions!!
Full-time, year round employment. Pay rate is based on experience!
Only candidates with minimum 1 year relevant experience need apply (**casual gardening or planting for neighbors or one’s own home yard is not sufficient experience)
Job Specific Duties:
- Perform ALL landscape maintenance duties: mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, hedging, remove hatch/litter/debris
- Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
- Properly and safely operate battery-operated gardening equipment
- Perform landscape enhancements such as: plantings, top soil application, lawn seeding & fertilizer
- Plant and maintain flower beds
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of sprinkler and irrigation systems
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with tool/equipment maintenance and repair under supervision of the Team Leader
Candidates MUST:
- Treat all clients and team members in a respectful and courteous manner
- Be proactive and maintain open communication with assigned Crew lead and or Team Leader
- Be able to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Be able to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time
- Be able to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
- Be able to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
- Be able to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
- Safeguard all company property from theft and misuse
- Understand and practice safety in all work circumstances
