We are seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Lead Administrative Assistant to lead the daily operations of our busy specialty medical practice. This leadership position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys building strong teams, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the medical office.
- Support your team while promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Coordinate physician office schedules, OR schedules, and staffing needs.
- Manage surgical scheduling, authorizations, medical clearances, and required documentation.
- Resolve patient concerns while maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Monitor employee attendance, PTO, and scheduling in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain provider credentialing, insurance enrollments, hospital privileges, CAQH profiles, DEA registrations, and licensure renewals.
- Prepare monthly reports, physician documentation, and key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and Operations leadership to maximize collections and improve office performance.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, company policies, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of medical office management experience
- Previous experience supervising and developing staff
- Strong knowledge of medical office operations, insurance processes, and patient scheduling
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
