Apparel Technical Designer / CAD Designer (Activewear & Sportswear)

PNW (USA) Inc. is a growing apparel manufacturer specializing in activewear, sportswear, and casual apparel. We work with retailers, brands, and private label customers across the United States. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join our team and help bring innovative products from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Create professional flat CAD sketches using Adobe Illustrator.
- Develop and maintain complete technical packages (Tech Packs).
- Mark up customer samples and artwork with construction comments and revisions.
- Create colorways, fabric and trim callouts, measurement specifications, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with the merchandising, sales, and production teams throughout the product development process.
- Communicate with overseas factories regarding design revisions and production details.
- Review garment samples and provide fit, construction, and quality comments.
- Research current fashion, activewear, and sportswear trends to support new product development.
- Ensure all technical documents are accurate and production-ready.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as an Apparel Technical Designer, CAD Designer, or Technical Design Specialist.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required).
- Experience creating Tech Packs and garment specifications.
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in activewear, sportswear, or casual apparel is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience communicating with overseas factories is a plus.
- English required; Mandarin Chinese is a plus but not required.
Preferred Skills
- Activewear and performance apparel experience.
- Understanding of fit, grading, and garment measurements.
- Knowledge of sourcing and product development.
- Familiarity with PLM systems is a plus.
