Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team for weekend shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This vital role involves providing high-quality, personalized care to individuals in various living environments, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately in care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through memory care techniques and engagement activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans and provide direct support aligned with each resident’s needs.
Skills
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior promptly.
- Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices if needed.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams while respecting privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
- Demonstrated commitment to compassionate caregiving with a focus on safety, dignity, and independence for all residents.
