The LATA Project Manager (PM) leads safe, compliant, and effective project execution. This role is accountable to LATA clients and senior management for technical performance, contractual compliance, quality deliverables, project results, and client satisfaction. The PM must ensure each project supports LATA’s corporate priorities: worker and community safety, product quality, environmental stewardship, and business integrity. These priorities are essential to LATA’s value as a provider of services and lasting results in its chosen markets.
The PM works with discipline leads and project support staff to establish budgets and schedules, define applicable standards and requirements, organize project teams, monitor performance and progress, and authorize delivery of products and services to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the contract, including awarded scope, exclusions, and how the client directs or redirects work;
- Understand the estimate, assumptions, Basis of Estimate (BOE), and schedule supporting the awarded bid to identify risk when new conditions emerge;
- Establish project budgets and schedules based on applicable standards, project requirements, and identified risks;
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the project’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), which guides sequencing, scheduling, integration, and completion of contract-required work elements;
- Use project control tools and resources appropriate to the project’s size and complexity to assess status, financial performance, potential risks, and risk mitigation effectiveness;
- Understand the project Spend Plan and its basis, including how it supports the Estimate at Complete;
- Interpret and effectively use company-supplied project financial reports;
- Apply Earned Value principles and use an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to support project planning, tracking, and control through verifiable progress measures;
- Communicate project status clearly and comprehensively during Monthly Project Reviews;
- Organize, control, and lead assigned resources to deliver results safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the contract;
- Identify when additional company resources are needed for risk recovery;
- Use company-provided project management practices, techniques, analytical tools, and reporting resources to control cost, schedule, and technical execution;
- Demonstrate decisive, engaging leadership by aligning project staff and workforce around common goals and shared success;
- Optimize the work approach and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and increase project profitability;
- Identify opportunities for LATA to provide additional or new client services; and
- Deliver project results that meet client requirements, meet or exceed client expectations, achieve established LATA project profit objectives, and support LATA’s priorities for safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 Years Environmental Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant environmental experience.
- Experience in In Situ Bioremediation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- OSHA 30 Construction Certificate
- 40-hour HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresher
- Soil Sampling Experience
- Estimating Experience
