Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Receiving Lead to oversee the inbound logistics operations within our distribution center. This pivotal role involves managing the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of incoming shipments, ensuring seamless coordination with warehouse teams and transportation providers. Duties
- Supervise daily receiving activities, including unloading shipments using material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners.
- Ensure all incoming goods are accurately inspected, documented, and stored according to warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control protocols.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing clear instructions, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a productive work environment.
- Collaborate with logistics partners and 3PL providers to coordinate timely delivery schedules and resolve any shipment discrepancies or issues.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline warehouse operations.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations during all material handling activities.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools and inventory management systems such as AS400 or warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, generate reports, and support shipping & receiving documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or distribution center operations with supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control practices, and logistics processes.
- Skilled in operating material handling equipment including forklifts, mechanical tools, and RF scanners.
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards, heavy lifting techniques, and materials handling best practices.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation is a plus.
- Experience working with e-commerce fulfillment centers or 3PL providers is desirable.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as inventory management systems like AS400 or Warehouse Management System platforms.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
