Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Boba Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, creating delicious beverages, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced food and beverage setting, specializing in bubble tea and specialty drinks. The Boba Barista will be responsible for preparing drinks, managing POS systems, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient service and quality product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of bubble tea drinks, foods, and other menu items with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately and balance cash register at the end of shifts
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Engage with customers to promote menu items and enhance their overall experience
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
- Proven sales ability with a focus on upselling menu items
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Previous barista or coffee experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety, food preparation, and food handling standards in a café or retail setting
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction balancing
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively
