Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic National Military Liaison to serve as the vital link between our organization and military entities across the nation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of military protocols, and a passion for fostering collaborative relationships. As the National Military Liaison, you will lead initiatives that strengthen partnerships, enhance public relations, and support organizational goals through strategic engagement with military stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic military and VA referral account management plans that support the facility clinical resources, resulting in admissions to the facilities programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for military partners, ensuring clear and effective communication across all channels.
- Establish consistent contact with military and VA referral sources and maintain a continuum of care within the Windmoor Healthcare system for admissions, direct care and discharge information.
- Coordinate media relations efforts to promote organizational initiatives within military communities and the broader public.
- Develop & participate in educational forums in relation to the military/VA internally and externally.
- Deliver engaging presentations and public speaking engagements to inform and motivate military audiences about organizational programs.
- Obtain and provide facility management with up to date information about changes in the market and the competition for military/VA; maintain POC and protocol systems for each account. Develop and manage new protocol procedures as required.
- Manage social media platforms to share relevant content, foster community engagement, and increase visibility among military personnel and their families.
- Participate in outreach military/VA educational organizations within designated areas to include installations in services, CEU’s, special events, physician visits, etc.
- Support business development activities by identifying partnership opportunities and facilitating collaborative projects with military stakeholders.
- Collect data on outreach activities to evaluate effectiveness, inform strategic planning, and improve future initiatives.
- Assist the director of the department, other team members, admissions personnel, direct care staff, and any other identified staff in carrying out other related military/VA activities. Attend assigned military/VA staff meetings and board meetings when on campus.
- Plan, organize, and implement on campus support groups for military/VA dependents.
- Work as a team with the Military/VA clinical team and Business Development Department while in the office and on the road.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in media relations, public relations, or related fields with a focus on military or government sectors.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Background in marketing, business development is advantageous for expanding organizational reach within military networks.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with experience in volunteer management and community engagement.
- Knowledge of strategic planning, budgeting, and data collection methods relevant to large-scale outreach programs.
