This position is an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking part-time employment (up to 9 hours per week) within a Christian program setting and desiring to help lead students to Christ. The available hours are on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 8:00AM-3:00PM.
Adelphia Classical Christian Academy is seeking a LATIN TEACHER for the 2026-2027 program year that is in agreement with the philosophy and faith statement provided on the website located at adelphiaclassical.com. The Academy serves Christians of various backgrounds and strives to focus on unity in Christ. Please see the website for Adelphia's Statement of Faith (SOF). Similar to other Christian school requirements, the Academy requires all teachers to sign the SOF. Please make sure you are able to sign the SOF before applying.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in translating Latin (ancient language)
- University degree preferred (not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in teaching or tutoring
- Familiarity with Classical Christian education principles
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
Adelphia is a Private School Satellite Program (PSP) and offers on-campus teacher-led courses three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Teachers are provided with a basic course lesson plan. Teachers are also provided with teaching manuals, quizzes, and tests (when available with the curriculum). Class sizes vary from approximately 5 to 15 students.
Adelphia provides a unique opportunity for teachers that love teaching in a Christian setting, but are unable to teach full-time. The Academy has program breaks for Thanksgiving (1 week), Christmas (3 weeks), Easter (1 week), and summer.
The Academy offers other courses and may have future openings (i.e., Algebra 2). Please inquire.
