Job Description
Job Title: Package Van Delivery Driver
Reports To: Manager
FLSA Status:
Summary: Responsible for successfully completing package delivery and pick up of all
packages on designated route in a timely order, by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Sorts packages and loads the truck; prepares route.*
2. Conducts pre-trip vehicle inspection.*
3. Scans every package and confirms delivery adress.*
4. Captures the name of the person receiving the package/packages.*
5. Places delivered packages in designated areas.*
6. Scans and codes any non-delivered packages.*
7. Performs package pick up within the scheduled time window.*
8. Returns truck to the terminal and parks in the designated unload door.*
9. Reconciles all packages on scanner.*
10. Completes post trip inspection.*
11. Completes log in/log out of time clock.*
12. Participates and completes monthly safety trainings.*
13. Fuels vehicle as needed with correct fuel.*
14. Alerts managers to any vehicle concerns.*
15. Drives safely and obeys local laws.*
16. Performs other tasks designated by management, if asked.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and
geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of a handheld scanner.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
FMCSA medical card drivers license
Equipment:
Drive 24 foot package van
Pallet jack
Hand truck

occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock, work with
explosives, and exposure to dust and/or dirt.
