What You Will Do
As a General Dentist at Tri-State, you will provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered dental care within your professional training and scope of practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform comprehensive and problem-focused dental examinations
- Review patient histories, radiographs, symptoms, and clinical findings
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care
- Perform fillings, sealants, extractions, and other general dental procedures within your clinical scope
- Evaluate patients who are experiencing dental pain or urgent oral-health concerns
- Identify cases requiring specialty treatment and coordinate appropriate referrals
- Clearly explain diagnoses, procedures, treatment options, risks, and aftercare instructions
- Help patients feel comfortable, respected, and informed throughout their visit
- Educate patients and families about oral hygiene, prevention, and long-term dental health
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation
- Follow all infection-control, OSHA, HIPAA, safety, and professional standards
- Work closely with dental assistants, administrative staff, clinical leadership, and other healthcare professionals
- Support quality-improvement, patient-safety, and access-to-care initiatives
- Participate in meetings, training, and professional-development activities as required

Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from an accredited dental school
- Current and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in California, or eligibility to obtain one before beginning employment
- Current CPR or Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain certification before starting
- DEA registration when required for the position
- Ability to complete Tri-State’s credentialing and payer-enrollment requirements
- Knowledge of dental safety, infection-control, patient-privacy, and documentation standards
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to provide respectful and compassionate care to patients from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered dentistry
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience practicing general dentistry
- Experience treating both children and adults
- Previous FQHC, community-health, public-health, or safety-net experience
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal Dental
- Experience using electronic dental or health records
- Bilingual communication skills are helpful but not required
Qualified new graduates with strong clinical training, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to community-based dentistry are encouraged to apply.
Compensation$750–$1,000 Per Day
The final daily rate will be based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, clinical abilities, availability, and agreed-upon schedule.

Any evening, weekend, on-call, or travel expectations will be discussed before employment.
