We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our retail team! Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and staff scheduling
- Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment
- Manage cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering processes with accuracy and integrity
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high standards of communication skills
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and inventory management to ensure operational efficiency
- Supervise shift management to ensure smooth store operations during all hours of operation while maintaining compliance with company policies
Experience
- Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within retail environments
- Strong background in retail sales, inventory management, and customer service excellence
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster employee development
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate financial transactions
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, and employee orientation processes
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to enhance communication with diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of marketing strategies, merchandising techniques, and store operations is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating strong time management skills
