Job Location: This position serves Salem and surrounding communities. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to assigned job sites as needed.

Position Summary
As an Experienced Painter, you will perform residential and commercial painting projects while maintaining Fitzpatrick Painting's high standards for quality, professionalism, and customer service. You'll work independently and alongside Crew Leaders and Supervisors to complete projects efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Complete all phases of residential and commercial painting projects
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and priming
- Apply paint, stain, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
- Perform high-quality finish work with attention to detail
- Operate ladders, scaffolding, sprayers, sanders, and other painting equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Follow all company safety policies and attend required safety meetings
- Communicate professionally with customers, Crew Leaders, and team members
- Assist in mentoring and training less experienced painters when needed
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work each day
- Represent Fitzpatrick Painting professionally at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional residential and/or commercial painting experience
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing
- Experience operating airless sprayers and other professional painting equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to lift, carry, and safely use ladders and painting equipment
- Basic English communication skills for workplace safety and job instructions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Schedule
- Full-time
- Typical start time before 8:00 AM unless otherwise directed
Additional Requirements
- Must maintain a professional appearance on job sites
- Must be able to work safely in a physically demanding environment
- Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures
