Overview
Get Up And Go Kayaking is an award-winning eco-tour company dedicated to connecting guests with nature through unforgettable outdoor experiences. We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and customer-focused Part-Time Guest Relations & Marketing Assistant who can help share our passion for conservation, wildlife, and outdoor recreation through exceptional guest service and engaging digital content. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys social media marketing, customer service, outdoor recreation, and working in a fast-paced, positive environment.
This role will initially be scheduled Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with opportunities for additional hours and responsibilities in the future. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person responsibilities for content creation and community engagement.
Responsibilities
Guest Relations & Customer Support
- Professionally and promptly respond to customer calls, emails, and inquiries while maintaining a warm, welcoming, and helpful attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering tour information and safety guidance, and resolving concerns efficiently.
- Coordinate with tour guides and management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Respond to online reviews in a timely manner while reflecting the company's fun, friendly, and engaging brand voice.
Marketing & Social Media
- Create engaging, high-quality content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, and other marketing channels.
- Highlight Florida's natural resources, wildlife, conservation efforts, and outdoor recreation opportunities.
- Develop a balanced mix of fun, entertaining, and educational content that inspires guests to explore nature while promoting environmental awareness and stewardship.
- Showcase the unique experiences offered on our tours through creative storytelling, photography, videography, and guest-focused content.
- Schedule and publish social media content weekly, including posts, reels, and stories.
- Engage professionally with customers, followers, and local businesses online.
- Write original blog content for the company website.
- Capture photo and video content during tours on occasional on-site visits.
- Assist with maintaining brand consistency across all marketing platforms.
Administrative Support
- Run reports and track key performance metrics, including customer reviews and social media engagement.
- Assist with review contests, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
- Maintain organized records and complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
Community Engagement
- Occasionally represent the company at community events, festivals, and local outreach opportunities.
- Assist with event setup, promotional activities, and silent auction donations when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, administrative, or office experience preferred.
- Experience creating and managing social media content for business accounts preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while remaining responsive and accountable.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, trustworthy, and professional.
- Passion for outdoor recreation, tourism, conservation, or hospitality preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish and/or ASL) is a plus.
- Ability to assist with trailer towing or transportation-related issues is a plus (but not required)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Position Details
- Starting pay: $14.00 per hour
- Opportunities for performance-based bonuses
- Potential for additional hours and expanded responsibilities in the future
- Must be available Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Local candidates in the Jackson County/Bay County area are preferred; however, remote Florida-based candidates will be considered.
- Remote candidates must be willing and able to travel occasionally to Marianna and Panama City Beach for content creation and company-related activities at their own expense.
- Position is primarily remote with occasional in-person responsibilities.
