About Us
Millennium Dog Walkers & Pet Care is a trusted dog walking and pet care company serving downtown Chicago and surrounding neighborhoods. We are hiring a reliable weekend dog walker who can help with scheduled weekend walks and pet visits throughout the city.
Most weekend walks are located in Streeterville, River North, and Gold Coast, but this role requires someone who is willing and able to travel to other neighborhoods in Chicago as needed.
Responsibilities
As a weekend dog walker, you will:
- Complete scheduled weekend dog walks and pet visits
- Travel to client homes throughout Chicago when needed
- Follow each client’s specific care instructions
- Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Send updates, photos, and notes after each visit
- Communicate clearly with management and clients
- Be punctual, dependable, and professional
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be available at least 3 weekends per month
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to travel throughout Chicago for weekend walks
- Be comfortable working in Streeterville, River North, Gold Coast, and other city neighborhoods as needed
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Be comfortable walking in all weather conditions
- Have a smartphone for scheduling and communication
- Genuinely love dogs and animals
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, responsible, and comfortable navigating Chicago. This role is great for someone who wants consistent weekend work and enjoys being active, independent, and around dogs.
Previous dog walking, pet sitting, animal care, or customer service experience is a plus, but the most important qualities are reliability, communication, and care for the animals.
