BV Aviation, a leading independent turboprop engine repair, maintenance, and overhaul (MRO) company specializing today in the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A; currently has a position open for an experienced Detail Parts Inspector. Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively inspect for condition and return to service, various turbine engine parts belonging to the Pratt & Whitney Canada, PT6A series.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Conducts visual and dimensional tests to ensure quality of finished products.
· Determines and uses appropriate inspection processes to confirm assigned products and parts meet specifications.
· Confirms and approves the quality of finished parts.
· Determines whether parts not meeting specifications can be salvaged.
· Documents measured results of machining operations.
· Prepare paperwork and reports documenting inspection findings.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Minimum three (3) years’ experience in aviation maintenance environment, preferably on PT6A series
· Ability to use precision measuring equipment, i.e., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.
· Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Must have manual dexterity required for technician.
· Extensive knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment
· Extensive knowledge of machining and machining processes
· Ability to read blueprints.
· Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient Computer skills including electronic mail, Microsoft Word and Excel
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
. Three (3) years of experience as a parts inspector preferred.
· A&P License preferred but not required.
· Pratt & Whitney engine experience a plus
· Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal English.
· Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements:
. Must provide own hand tools; Special tooling supplied by Company.
. Must be able to lift up to 50LBS.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
