Quality Technician - Manufacturing
Location: Lenexa, KS
Shift: 3rd Shift, Full‑Time
Schedule: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Sunday–Thursday
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and dependable Quality Technician to support 3rd‑shift production at our Lenexa plant. As a key member of our Quality team, you will perform essential testing, inspections, and documentation to ensure products meet customer specifications, food safety requirements, and internal quality standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with SQF, GMPs, and customer expectations in a fast‑paced flexible packaging manufacturing environment.
When Your Actions Lead to Success
- Partner closely with production teams to identify and address quality issues
- Make informed decisions regarding product quarantine based on customer requirements, production capabilities, and defect severity
- Inspect customer complaints and returns to determine appropriate disposition
- Perform laboratory testing such as COF, tensile, bond strength, and tear testing
- Prepare data reports, charts, and graphs for internal and external customers
- Maintain complete and accurate quality records for all testing performed
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Conformance (COC)
- Trend and evaluate testing results to recommend improvements and report out‑of‑spec conditions
- Support machine operators with quality questions, raw material issues, and testing needs

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting
Additional Role Details
- Exposure to inks and solvents, which may create strong odors in the plant
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
- Must follow written Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all applicable SQF programs
- Performs cleaning and inspection duties to maintain food safety compliance
