Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their breakfast experience
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items such as specialty coffees, cocktails, or premium breakfast options to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling and sales transactions smoothly using POS systems including cash registers and credit card processing tools like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and address any guest needs promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience as a breakfast server or in a similar food service role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or other restaurant management software
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between serving, upselling, and cleaning duties
- Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transaction processing
- Previous experience with wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, or fine dining service is a plus but not required
