Job Position: Ophthalmic tech
Location: Chestnut Hill, MA
Shift: 5x8, Days
Duration: 13 Weeks
Responsibilities
- Perform ophthalmic diagnostic procedures such as tonometry, eye refraction, A-scan biometry, and ophthalmic imaging to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and conducting intake assessments.
- Operate medical equipment safely and accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems), documenting patient information thoroughly and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Educate patients on eye conditions, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to promote understanding and compliance.
- Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and handling patient inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic flow and exceptional patient service.
Requirements:
- 2+ Years of Experience
- Certified as COA, COT, COMT by JCAHPO
- Hight school Diploma, GED
Pay: $1,820.15 - $1,925.49 per week
