Wire & Wood Acoustic Coffeehouse & Listening Room is seeking an organized, dependable, and outgoing person to join our team as our A&R Coordinator and Artist Liaison beginning in August.
This is a hands-on position for someone interested in communications, live events, artist relations, booking, and the entertainment business. The right person will help us find and book artists, coordinate the details of each performance, and serve as the primary contact for the artist or their management from the first conversation through show day.
About the position
Our A&R Coordinator helps identify artists who are a good fit for Wire & Wood and begins the conversation about bringing them to Greeneville. Once an artist is interested, the coordinator works directly with the artist, agent, or management to establish the terms of the performance and gather everything our team needs to prepare for the show.
This person will remain the artist’s main point of contact as the date approaches. On show day, the coordinator will serve as the artist liaison, welcoming the talent, answering questions, communicating with venue staff, and helping make sure the artist has what they need throughout their time at Wire & Wood.
Responsibilities include
- Researching and discovering artists who are a good fit for the Wire & Wood listening room
- Reaching out to artists, booking agents, and management
- Discussing available dates and setting up performance agreements
- Clearly communicating payment arrangements, schedules, expectations, and show details
- Maintaining organized records of booking conversations, artist contacts, agreements, and upcoming performances
- Collecting artist biographies, photographs, music links, videos, posters, logos, and other media needed for promotion
- Making sure promotional materials are received on time and delivered to the appropriate Wire & Wood team members
- Staying in regular communication with the artist or their management leading up to the performance
- Providing information about arrival, parking, load in, soundcheck, performance times, ticketing, and venue expectations
- Confirming final show details before the artist arrives
- Greeting the artist and serving as their main contact on show day
- Acting as the liaison between the artist, management, sound engineer, stage manager, and Wire & Wood staff
- Helping resolve questions or needs that arise before, during, or after the performance
- Following up with artists when additional communication is needed after the show
Who we are looking for
We are more interested in finding the right person than someone with a long list of industry credentials.
Previous experience in communications, booking, live events, artist relations, hospitality, or the entertainment business is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
The strongest candidate will be someone who:
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Is comfortable speaking with artists, agents, and management
- Follows through and responds to messages in a timely manner
- Can keep several bookings and conversations organized at once
- Pays attention to details and understands the importance of accurate information
- Remains calm and helpful when plans change or unexpected needs arise
- Has a genuine interest in music, live entertainment, communications, and the business behind producing events
- Is available for scheduled performances, including some evenings and weekends
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants real experience working directly with performers and learning how booking, promotion, artist relations, and live event coordination work inside an independent music venue.

Approximately 20 hours per week
$15 per hour
Position begins in August
Some evening and weekend availability will be required for scheduled performances.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
