We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of vacuum pumps, blowers, motors, vehicles, and industrial equipment both in the shop and at customer facilities. Candidates with a background in diesel mechanics, automotive repair, engine repair, or industrial maintenance are encouraged to apply, as this experience translates well to the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and refurbish vacuum pumps, blowers, and motors.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair shop equipment, including air compressors, CNC mills, and lathes.
- Run and test a variety of vacuum pumps and related equipment.
- Precisely measure components and work within tight tolerances.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment.
- Test, operate, and troubleshoot specialized equipment; training will be provided.
- Complete equipment evaluation sheets and determine estimated repair costs.
- Prepare customer repair quotes for pumps and related equipment.
- Work with vendors and manufacturers to research, source, and order replacement parts.
- Maintain inventory of commonly used repair kits and parts.
- Operate a forklift; training will be provided.
- Use work orders and scheduling priorities to organize workload and meet completion deadlines.
- Assist customers with technical questions and equipment troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in automotive, diesel/engine repair, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of air compressors and vacuum systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, lifting equipment, and other mechanical equipment.
- Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and thickness gauges.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Basic math and computer skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be willing to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, as needed.
