Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a vehicle testing, laboratory, or workshop environment.
- Experience with vehicle communication networks, hardware, and software.
- Experience with hands-on electrical work, including soldering, harness building, or instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with managing vehicle testing or substantial lab assets.
- Facilitating new one-off test setups (airflow testing, component testing, temporary modifications to existing stands, etc.).
○ Perform hands-on electrical work (~60%), including:
- Running wires, soldering, harnessing, and instrumentation setup
- Using tools like multimeters for diagnostics
○ Experience fully instrumenting vehicles and systems to collect test data
○ Experience supporting vehicle communication and data collection (CAN/LIN)
○ Support the modification of parts and equipment for one-off instrumentation and testing.
○ Experience building and maintaining DAQ boxes for vehicle and bench testing, following schematics from TEs. (LabView or similar)
○Experience coordinating rapid prototyping of test fixtures and hardware.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automotive thermal systems (cooling, refrigerant, HVAC).
- Experience with high-voltage EV systems and safety protocols.
- Proficiency with rapid prototyping methods (3D printing, machining, or fixture building).
- Familiarity with vehicle testing and lab safety standards (OSHA/EHS/DOT).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for generating test reports.

Job Description
○ Support lab upkeep and general maintenance to ensure a clean and efficient workspace.
○ Manage vehicle instrumentation supplies, monitoring and ordering consumables as necessary (refrigerant, thermocouples, connectors, etc.).
○ Track and maintain calibration of equipment and maintain equipment usage and maintenance logs.
○ Help enforce safety and EHS guidelines on the lab floor and on test trips to ensure a compliant work environment.

○ Execute thermal testing on full vehicles and sub-assemblies (AC compressors, cooling systems, etc.
○ Assist with validating both software and hardware performance related to thermal systems
○ Simulate real-world conditions, including extreme heat and cold environments
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
