Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and provide accurate information about the menu, reservations, and services.
- Seat guests promptly, ensuring they receive attentive service from the moment they arrive.
- Assist with guest seating arrangements and coordinate with the kitchen staff to optimize table turnover.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including host stand and waiting areas.
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process reservations, takeout orders, or payments when needed.
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive dining experience.
Experience
- Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong background in food service and customer service roles, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency.
- Experience in hotel or guest services is a plus, highlighting your ability to manage guest interactions professionally.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
