The Employee shall use his/her best efforts to provide the highest level of professional service; conduct him/herself at all times with a pleasant and professional demeanor; and maintain and improve his/her job skills. The Employee’s duties shall include, but not be limited to the following: Scope: Interacts closely with residents on a daily basis. Deals with resident’s family members. Has contact with all internal departments. Occasional interaction with other outside agencies. General Function: Carry out planned activities with residents on a daily basis and assist residents with needs outside the facility. Responsibilities: Responsible for giving announcements every morning containing day, daily activities, noon meal, and weather; Takes care of daily changing calendars/boards to inform residents of daily activities; Assists residents to and from activities and sometimes runs the activity; Assists in creating a monthly calendar of activities and maintaining the monthly calendars for inspection; Responsible for listening to residents’ concerns and helps find solutions to their concerns; Overall responsibility is to make sure scheduled activities are carried out; Hold resident council meetings on a monthly basis; Take residents on outings; Assist with purchase supplies for residents and for resident activities; Responsible for passing mail to the residents; Assists in serving meals; Completes the activity assessment for new admissions; Places emergency numbers and resident rights in residents’ rooms; Prints menus for residents of the personal care wing; Any other assigned duties; Assists with developing a limo schedule and plan outings for residents. Qualifications: Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral instructions; High school diploma or GED preferred; Creative, energetic, pleasant, tactful, courteous around residents; Cooperates well with other employees. Because of close contact with the residents, this position has been determined to have potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens. Country Club Rehabilitation Center will provide training, information and equipment to minimize the potential risk. It is a requirement of this position that the individual comply with all privacy policies and procedures of the Provider and protect the privacy of Personal Health Information as required by law. Employee shall not have the right to make any contracts or commitments for or on behalf of Employer without Employer’s prior consent. Although the parties hope to maintain a long and mutually beneficial relationship, abiding by this job description does not guarantee continued employment. Employment is AT WILL. Either party may terminate the employment relationship between the parties, for cause or no cause.
