Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues efficiently. This role requires a commitment to high-quality service and customer satisfaction, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.
Duties
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire service, and brake repairs
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems and mechanical components
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs
- Work on transmissions, powertrain systems, alignment, suspension, shocks & struts
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting problems
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
Skills
- Dealership experience preferred
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair
- Familiarity with auto body repair and welding techniques is a plus
- Experience with GM vehicles is advantageous
- Ability to perform auto estimating for repair costs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interactions
