As an Area Manager at Glo, you will lead a minimum of 2 stores in meeting their goals by providing ongoing training and coaching as well as grooming new leadership; Ensuring the salon is functioning at a level to provide the absolute best client satisfaction; have a high standard for communication and lead with positive reinforcement; and promote high energy and motivation.
Eligible for position: Master Area Manager role and certification
Required criteria to meet: Meet and exceed personal sales goals, create and develop glo-ing reviews for all salon cultures and the overall salon reputations throughout leadership team, employees and clients, rallies leadership team to be driven and motivated, confidently performing all store leader duties
In-store requirements: Scheduled full time (minimum of 40 hours/week) based on salons needs. Open and flexible availability; ability to work nights, weekends, and possible last minute shift coverage; Work at least a minimum of one night or one weekend per week unless every team member is fully trained and making their goals. Available by phone during salon hours and calls back in timely manner
Out-of-salon requirements: A scheduled, 5-7 hours per week of administrative work; mandatory weekly leadership meetings (1 hour); available to team by phone during business hours
Management

Consistently guide and coach staff on having Crucial Conversations
Delivers written warnings and write ups when necessary
Follows 5 Step Touch Point each and every time they go into salon
Monthly One on Ones with each Store Leader
Daily check in call with each leader to walk through daily focuses
Weekly calls with Leadership team; provides efficient communication and support
Zero tolerance for gossip or negative politicking
If the location does not have a Store Leader or Associate Leader, the Area Leader temporarily handles the responsibilities until the position is filled with a qualified candidate
Customer Service
Exceptional customer service throughout the entire staff
All client issues are handled within 24-48 hours and all clients are satisfied; follow up with Guest Services for issues needing handled
Receive only 'glo-ing' reviews on social media
All team members are fully aware of what they can do for clients and know when to call Guest Services
Provide training on any feedback given from reviews and Guest Services within 24 hours
Cleanliness Maintenance
Daily salon cleanliness and organization is being maintained up to Glo Tanning high standard
Reviews official audit results and areas needing attention with Leaders
Prioritizes getting down equipment fixed; follows up on and updates Maintenance issues
Learns and Trains on how to troubleshoot equipment
Sales
Stores meet KPI goals
Portraying and radiating positive sales energy and motivation
Providing recognition and praise for stand out occurrences
Shadowing from afar Check daily sales/cameras for training purposes
Works with low performers and provides effective shadowing
Go over new clients and sales with employees using spa profiles and daily sales
Distinguishing areas of missed opportunities with each employee
Continuous education, roleplay, and training on situational experiences
Administration
Complete weekly Plan of Action (POA) posted by Monday at 10am
Review leadership schedules for feedback or changes and post every Monday by midnight
Oversee Inventory/hard counts are completed for each store each week
Complete and approve weekly time cards for employees
Approve time requests off for overall staff
Updates, maintains, and communicates current staffing needs
Leaves thorough employee training documentation in employee files
Delivers written warnings and write ups when necessary
Traffic is being monitored daily to match staffing needs
Payroll is monitored daily even on days when leadership team is not present
