Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trucks. Doubles and 53ft Trailers.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo while adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered as per DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or any issues encountered during transport.
- Drive Short distances on various routes while ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Experience operating different types of trucks, such as Doubles and 53 ft trailers
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of route driving and commercial driving regulations.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past few years.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.
