Job Overview
Are you looking to supplement your income while making a meaningful impact on patients eager to return to their livelihoods? We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable PTA to join our outpatient team for two Saturdays per month and/or some weekdays.
In this role, you will work exclusively with our industrial rehab and injured worker population. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, progressive treatment designed to restore function, build work-conditioning tolerance, and safely transition patients back to their specific job demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Targeted Care: Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist, focusing on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and activities, and functional re-education.
- Work Conditioning: Guide injured workers through job-specific simulation exercises and body mechanics training to prepare them for return-to-work clearance.
- Progress Tracking: Objectively measure and document patient progress, ensuring all daily notes meet compliance standards for worker’s compensation case managers and insurance adjusters.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on safe lifting techniques, ergonomic principles, and home exercise programs to prevent re-injury.
- Collaborative Communication: Coordinate closely with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding patient performance, limitations or necessary modifications to the plan of care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education and Licensure: Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and an active PTA license in California.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise progression, body mechanics, and lifting ergonomics.
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
