Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Lab

Greenhouse Vascular is looking for an individual who is competent, dedicated and motivated to be a part of a growing Vascular Practice! Applicant must be Licensed within the state of Texas and provide a copy of the License.
$25.00-$35.00 per hour based on experience.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
An Associate’s Degree in nursing.
A current Texas RN license and at least two years recent experience in ER, PACU, Cath Lab or IR lab preferred, but not required.
Must be ACLS certified.
New graduates are welcome to apply.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist physicians in the tasks and responsibilities necessary in the performance of vascular procedures and peripheral angiography. This includes administer IV moderate sedation while monitoring patient status throughout procedure. Independently provide patient care pre and post procedure with minimal supervision, and provide case management prior to procedures. Assist in other aspects of patient care and team member duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in maintaining and operating office lab and recovery equipment.
Administer IV moderate sedation throughout procedure while monitoring patient's vital signs and airway status
Assist in handing off equipment to physician and staff during procedure while maintaining sterile technique
Maintain adequate inventory of medications and supplies for lab operations, reorder as necessary.
Transport patients to and from pre/post area to lab.
Prepare the patient for and monitor patient during and after lab procedures.
Assist the physicians in lab procedures as requested.
Maintain and operate blood saturation equipment.
Administer appropriate medication and dosage per physician order in pre-procedure, during a cath lab procedure, and in recovery.
Provide pre-procedure case management.
Maintain a clean environment in the c lab and recovery areas.
Maintain secure inventory of controlled substances and keep accurate records of all controlled substances.
Meet continuing education requirements in order to maintain license as required by State law.
Check code chart daily for all supplies, drugs, and check defibrillator for charge.
Perform appropriate quality control daily, weekly and monthly.
Assist physicians in preparing lab reports and enter data as required.
Proper disposal of biohazard and radioactive waste as regulated by OSHA and the Texas State Office of Radiation Control
Assist Physician/Nurse Practitioner in patient evaluations, assessments and treatments
Train new staff related to your job duties.

Schedule Details: The Center is open M-F 8:00-4:30 or until the last patient has been discharged .
