Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Worker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assembling components and products with precision and efficiency, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications. Duties
- Assemble mechanical components and finished products using hand tools, power tools, and specialized industrial tools, following detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Interpret manufacturing documents such as schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to verify component dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform manual handling tasks involving lifting, positioning, and securing parts safely in accordance with personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
- Operate pneumatic tools, welding equipment, soldering stations, and machining tools as required for assembly tasks.
- Conduct quality checks using shop math and measurement instruments to ensure assemblies meet specified standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines related to PPE use, welding safety, and proper handling of industrial materials.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Support fabrication processes by interpreting technical drawings for mechanical assembly or modifications.
- Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management and forklift operation when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing or assembly environments; warehouse experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical concepts, shop math, and the use of measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, welding techniques, soldering, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly procedures including mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Experience operating forklifts or machining equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use during manual handling, welding, or machining activities.
- Good manual dexterity with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately over extended periods.
- Effective communication skills within a team-oriented environment.
