Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained facility. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, supervises maintenance staff, supports regulatory compliance, and helps maintain a comfortable environment for residents and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
- Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and address safety concerns.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.
- Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
- Support fire safety, disaster preparedness, and emergency response initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or trade certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience required.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or regulated facilities strongly preferred.
