Position Summary
We’re on the lookout for a Certified Transmission Technician with advanced skills in diagnosing and repairing both manual and automatic transmission systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on late-model Ford vehicles using OEM tools and equipment. We offer paid out-of-state training, relocation support, and a long-term path for career advancement.

Compensation: $35 to $45 per flat-rate hour, based on skills and certifications

Location Requirement: On-site in Bloomington, IN
Travel Requirement: Must be willing to attend 1-week Ford-sponsored training programs out of state
Relocation Support
Up to $1,500 for first month’s rent
Additional $3,000 toward moving expenses
Key Responsibilities
Conduct advanced transmission diagnostics and driveline evaluations
Complete repairs and services accurately per manufacturer guidelines
Utilize factory diagnostic tools for system testing and troubleshooting
Perform road tests to verify repair quality and ensure safety
Collaborate with service advisors for estimates and job updates
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety standards
Stay up to date on Ford transmission systems, recalls, and TSBs
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years’ experience in transmission or powertrain service
Ford Transmission Certification is highly preferred
Dealership background, especially Ford/Lincoln, is a strong plus
Working knowledge of manufacturer diagnostic software
Skilled in both mechanical and electrical diagnosis
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Strong communication skills and willingness to train regularly
