ASSA ABLOY Electro Mechanical Solutions (EMS) division is seeking an Accountant
Position Summary: The Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Experience with JDE ERP system, OneStream, and Floqast would be helpful.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily:
- Readies and maintains financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles, that include work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice.
- Utilizes knowledge of the fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accountancy, and often entails some understanding of such related fields as business law, statistics, and general management.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and upload them into the system such as Floqast, including intercompany accounts
- Research out-of-balance conditions and provide corrections and root-cause analysis
- Prepare report on A/R aging and cash goal updates
- Support month-end and year-end close processes to meet deadlines
- Prepare and submit timely financial and management reports
- Prepare and upload financial results to corporate reporting systems such as OneStream (formerly HFM)
- Support management in preparing filings and providing other regulatory compliance requirements
- Assist with sales reporting and forecasting activities
- Assist with city and state sales tax filing and annual federal tax (TRIP) reporting
- Monitor and help implement associated internal controls in support of Internal Audit
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements
- Perform ad-hoc work assigned by a manager

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education and/or Experience:
- Education requirements: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business or related
- 3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting with strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end result reporting.
- Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems
- Experience with Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting and/or Fixed Assets is a plus
- Experience with JDE ERP system or OneStream system (formerly HFM) is a plus
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and using Excel formulas including vlookup and pivot tables; experience with email and presentation software is useful. Experience or understanding of Excel add-in applications like OneStream. Database programs and business intelligence programs like Power BI, and Business Objects are helpful. OneStream and JDE system experience will be useful. Familiarity with account reconciliation software such as Floqast is a plus.
Language Ability
- For business and safety reasons, ability to write reports and business correspondence in English and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, technicians, and assemblers in English.

- Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders
