Job Summary
Reemo Wireless is a growing, multi-location authorized retailer serving customers across multiple states. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the company's accounting operations and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.
This position is ideal for a self-motivated accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting executive leadership with accurate financial information and maintaining strong internal controls.
Duties
- Manage the company's general ledger and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Complete month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts and cash transactions.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Manage payroll reconciliation and payroll-related accounting entries.
- Prepare and file sales tax and other required tax reports.
- Monitor inventory accounting and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Maintain strong internal accounting controls and recommend process improvements.
- Support external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience performing full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial analysis.
- Experience preparing financial statements.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred but not required.
- CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is a plus.
- Experience with multi-location or retail accounting.
- Experience with inventory accounting.
- Experience processing or reconciling payroll.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar ERP systems.
- Experience creating or improving accounting processes and internal controls.
