Express Employment is currently recruiting for a CDL B driver for a logistic company located in Hollywood, FL. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:
Responsibilities
- Operate a company truck to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload goods as required
- Maintain accurate records of cargo and mileage
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, including oil changes and tire rotations
- Ensure the vehicle is in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
- Drive in accordance with traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate with dispatch and other drivers to coordinate deliveries
- Follow a predetermined route or plan to ensure timely delivery
- Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to identify any issues or defects
- Perform minor automotive repairs to keep the vehicle in good working order
- Work independently and as part of a team
- This role is 50% warehouse and 50% driver.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a Class B endorsement
- Clean 7-year MVR
- Previous experience with handling glass is preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) is a MUST
- Proven experience as a truck driver
- Familiarity with route driving
- Experience with manual or automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to lift and unload heavy loads
- Previous experience as a commercial driver
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- Physical stamina and ability to perform duties in a physically demanding environment
