Duties
- Greet patients warmly and verify their appointment details with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Collect vital signs, perform intake assessments, and document patient histories accurately to support clinical decision-making.
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic life support when needed.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records, ensure proper ICD coding for diagnoses, and handle medical documentation with precision.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage clinic flow to optimize patient care delivery.
- Support clinical staff with tasks like specimen collection, vital signs monitoring, and assisting in outpatient or inpatient settings across various specialties including geriatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and trauma centers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office environment or clinic setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential.
- Experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray procedures or hospital/trauma center experience is advantageous.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or hospital medicine units.
- Demonstrated understanding of medical-surgical practices, outpatient procedures, inpatient care protocols including PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) experience or Level I/II trauma center exposure is a plus.

Pay: $24.76 - $29.82 per hour
