We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Middle School Math Teacher who is passionate about making mathematics meaningful, engaging, and accessible for all learners. The ideal candidate will create a dynamic classroom environment where students are encouraged to explore concepts, think critically, and build confidence in their mathematical abilities. This teacher will play a key role in fostering curiosity, promoting collaboration, and helping students develop a growth mindset toward learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math lessons that incorporate real-world applications
- Use a variety of instructional strategies (e.g., hands-on activities, technology integration, group work) to promote active learning
- Foster a classroom culture that encourages student participation, inquiry, and collaboration
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support all learners
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
- Use data to inform instruction and adjust teaching strategies
- Create opportunities for student voice and choice in the learning process
- Maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in school activities, team meetings, and professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field
- Valid Mississippi teaching license with endorsement in Mathematics (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Mississippi)
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for student learning and academic growth

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
