Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktail and beverage service with Spirits experience
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food handling, serving areas, and dining spaces
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and ensuring guest relations are positive at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of POS systems for seamless order processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally
- Excellent time management to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation protocols in the food industry
- Ability to upsell menu items including wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Culinary experience or food industry background is a plus for better menu knowledge
- Experience with beverage service including wine knowledge and drink presentation techniques - TIPS certification required
- Familiarity with casual dining standards and hospitality best practices
