Job Summary:
The Local Dispatch & FTZ Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing local transportation dispatch activities and ensuring compliance with all customs and FTZ regulations. This position plays a critical role in the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting daily FTZ reporting requirements to ensure uninterrupted operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Local Dispatch:
- Coordinate daily local deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and efficient routing of company trucks.
- Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to track loads and resolve any delivery issues.
- Schedule appointments for pickups/deliveries and ensure accurate documentation is provided (BOLs, packing slips, etc.).
- Maintain dispatch logs and delivery schedules in company systems.
- Create work order to ensure the billing of all dispatch services.
FTZ Customs Operations:
- Handle all aspects of FTZ compliance, including daily zone admissions, inventory tracking, and weekly/monthly customs reporting.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and/or FTZ administrator.
- Ensure all imports and exports are properly documented and comply with FTZ requirements and federal regulations.
- Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to resolve any documentation or entry discrepancies.
- Maintain audit-ready records and support internal/external compliance audits as needed.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
