We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Child Respite Provider to care for a young non-verbal kiddo with autism. Services will take place in the community and in the provider’s home. The ideal candidate is reliable and patient with children on the autism spectrum, and passionate about creating safe, fun, and meaningful experiences.
This kiddo enjoys outdoor activities, nature exploration, arts and crafts, visits to parks and museums, educational activities, and using their tablet.
Pay:
Schedule:
- Up to 20 hours/week
- Monday-Friday - 4:30PM-6:30PM
- Saturday - 12:00PM-4:00PM
- Additional care needed on days off from school
Tasks:
- Supervision
- Toileting assistance
- Active attentiveness
- Communication Assistance
- Companionship and Social Engagement
- Provide transportation to/from activities
- Engage with the child and encourage age-appropriate behaviors.
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Criminal/Caregiver background check.
- Experience working with special needs children.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required.
- No animals/pets present during respite
