LIFEGUARD
The role of a Lifeguard is essential to safe pool and aquatics operations. It requires alertness, focus, attention to detail, and professionalism, coupled with a positive, outgoing attitude so that customers feel at ease and relaxed knowing you are around.
Shift: Varies - pools are open seven days a week, generally early AM to late PM
YOUR MISSION
To create a safe, incident-free swimming environment so that customers enjoy their time in the pool and aquatic amenities
WHAT YOU’LL DO

Greet and welcome customers who come to use the pool (and related amenities)

Take water readings and adjust chemicals in the pool as needed

Supervise the pool and pool area at all times while on shift

Take action to make sure pool rules are enforced

Keep detailed daily logs of water readings and number of bathers

Close the pool and take remedial action in the event of any hazards

Organize logs for monthly submission

Maintain cleanliness of pool by regularly brushing the water line on the pool walls, wiping down railings, folding towels, squeegee and mop pool deck, among other tasks or “side work”

Current Lifeguard Certification.

Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and reservation software.

Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to swim and perform water rescues when necessary.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to bend, kneel, climb stairs, and respond quickly during emergencies.

Part-time or Full-time based on operational needs.

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Schedule may include both pool supervision and front desk shifts during the same workday.
This position requires working both indoors at the amenities front desk at the swimming pool and recreational facilities. Employees must maintain a high level of professionalism while providing exceptional service to residents and ensuring the safety of all amenity users.
The Lifeguard / Front Desk Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for residents and guests. This hybrid role combines lifeguarding responsibilities with front desk operations, ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the amenity spaces.
This position requires flexibility to transition between pool supervision and front desk duties based on operational needs.
