Job Title: Inside Export & Import Logistics Assistant
- Location: Portland, OR
- Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (7 hours per day)
- Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

- Position 1: Temp-to-Hire – Start as a contract employee with the opportunity to transition into a permanent, full-time role.
- Position 2: Temporary Staff (July 2026 – March 2027) – Perfect for those on OPT (Optional Practical Training)!
Main Responsibilities
You will manage daily office operations and provide essential support for import/export administrative tasks:
- Document Preparation & Control: Creating and verifying shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and delivery notes.
- Logistics Management: Tracking shipment statuses and providing timely updates to internal teams and customers.
- Accounting Support: Preparing payment instructions, performing simple data entry, and organizing financial vouchers.
- Scheduling: Coordinating pickups and deliveries, and assisting with container bookings.
- Communication: Handling correspondence via phone and email with customers and suppliers.
Requirements (Who We Are Looking For)
- Motivation: Individuals with a strong desire to learn about the trade industry, even without prior experience.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Japanese for smooth professional communication.
- PC Skills: Basic operation of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Candidates who are highly skilled in Excel are strongly encouraged to apply!
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and terminology.
