Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Perdiem Weekends

We're seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation Team. This is an exciting opportunity to help residents regain independence, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life while working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team.
What will I do as a Physical Therapist Assistant for The Wesley Community?
Our Physical Therapy Assistants play an essential role in helping residents achieve their highest level of independence and function. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will assist with implementing individualized treatment plans, providing skilled therapy services, and monitoring resident progress while ensuring the highest standards of quality care.
Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities include:
Assist the Physical Therapist in planning, developing and carrying out treatment programs and procedures for residents.
Writes observations of resident’s behavior and progress in Progress Notes.
Maintains statistical records and other departmental reports as requested by Physical Therapist.
Assist with in-service training programs upon request.
Assist with keeping supplies in good order and daily sanitation of equipment.
Arrives to work on time, regularly, and working as scheduled;
Observes and practices confidentiality of resident information and privacy when performing job duties.
Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times.
Performs assigned duties according to the service excellence standards and goals established for this position, and for all staff members of this facility.
Physical Therapist Assistant Requirements:
Graduation from a Physical Therapy Assistant approved program required.
New York State license to practice required.
Current, valid CPR/BLS credentials
