Responsibilities
- Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and extension services using techniques such as hair extensions, balayage, highlights, and color theory principles.
- Perform specialized treatments like eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to meet diverse client needs.
- Ensure all sanitation and safety standards are strictly followed to maintain a clean and hygienic salon environment.
- Manage appointments efficiently using salon software such as Gloss Genuis to optimize scheduling and client flow.
- Assist clients at the front desk with check-in, product recommendations, retail sales, and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience.
- Maintain detailed records of services provided, retail transactions, and client preferences for personalized future visits.
- Mentor junior staff or apprentices by sharing expertise in cosmetology techniques and customer service excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience in cosmetology or barbering with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in hair styling, coloring, and extensions.
- Familiarity with salon management software like Gloss Genuis or similar platforms for scheduling and client management.
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols specific to beauty services including nail care, eyelash extensions, and hair treatments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members while providing tailored beauty solutions.
- Ability to upsell retail products such as hair care items or makeup to enhance client satisfaction and store sales performance.
- Experience in retail math for accurate product pricing and inventory management is a plus.
