Historic Landmark Hotel Undergoing Major Renovation is seeking an energetic, results-driven General Manager to lead the property's next chapter of growth. Currently undergoing a $4 million renovation, the hotel is being repositioned to reclaim its status as the premier hotel, meeting, banquet, and social destination in the region.
We are seeking a hands-on hospitality leader with a strong background in group sales, revenue generation, and hotel operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of growing Association, Corporate, and SMERF business, while with the help of your management team simultaneously leading hotel operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Position Overview
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of the hotel, with particular emphasis on driving group sales and rebuilding market share in the Association and SMERF segments.
The ideal candidate is a highly visible leader equally comfortable meeting with major clients, leading a sales strategy session, reviewing financial results, and engaging with guests and associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all hotel operations
- Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share
- Lead the hotel’s group sales efforts with a focus on Association and SMERF business
- Build and maintain relationships with meeting planners, association executives, and community leaders
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, civic functions, and networking opportunities
- Establish and achieve aggressive revenue and production goals
- Recruit, develop, and motivate a high-performing management team
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and service delivery
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of successful senior hotel leadership experience as a General Manager or Director of Sales at a large full-service hotel with at least 150 guestrooms and significant banquet and meeting facilities.
- Demonstrated track record of developing Association, Corporate, and SMERF business.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, sales strategy, food and beverage operations, and guest service standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, make sound business decisions, and drive measurable results.
Compensation
- Competitive annual salary of $100,000–$125,000
