We are looking to hire a full-time Medical Receptionist for our Rheumatology practice. We want someone who is passionate about taking care of people and that takes pride in a job well done.
Responsibilities:
As a medical receptionist, you will play a significant part in creating an excellent experience for our patients and their families as you are the first face they see when walking into our clinic. You will collaborate directly with the physicians and clinical staff to take care of the patients’ essential administrative needs.
In this position, you will be responsible for several duties, including but not limited to; Greeting patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Optimizing patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appropriate appointments in person or by telephone.
Obtaining patient information and inputting it correctly into our electronic medical record program.
Obtaining accurate insurance information and running verification.
Collecting and processing payments at the time of service.
Keeping patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of the patient’s arrival and notifying the patient if there are to be any delays.
Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Maintaining the operations of the clinic by following policies and procedures. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as needed.
